1. install quark

Just run the executable let it install to default location "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuArK 6.6.0 Beta 6"


3. copy tools

take the contents of pb2quark_tools.zip and put them into "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuArK 6.6.0 Beta 6\tools" you may have to create the tools folder


4. copy qrks

Take the 2 files from pb2quark##.zip and put them into "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuArK 6.6.0 Beta 6\addons\Quake_2" the q2data file will overwrite the old one


5. copy dpmapping

Take the contents of dpmapping.zip and put them into "C:\Games\dpmapping" you will need to create this folder


6. start quark

Run the exe from desktop, start menu or directly from the quark folder


7. enable addon and disable default quake textures

Click the "Games" button at the top center of the main quark screen and select addons near the bottom of the menu.

Select Q2Textures.qrk and click "Remove"

Click "Add" and select pb2data.qrk from the list, click "Ok"


8. quake2 path

Again click "Games" and select Configuration near the bottom of the menu

For the field "Directory of Quake 2" enter "C:\Games\dpmapping" (no quotes) and scroll the config menu down to the "Build Programs Excecution Sequence" section


9. tools path

Look for "Default directory of build-orig" field amd enter "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuArK 6.6.0 Beta 6\tools" (no quotes)
Click "OK" to accept and close the configuration menu


There is a simple map included to test compiling, load this map into quark and hit F5 to do full compile, close the console and hit F11 to launch to map into Paintball
via the dpmapping folder.
